Tailored, not templated
No two people arrive at therapy with the same history, so no two pieces of work look the same. Person-centred therapy begins with you: your experience, your perspective and what you want from our time together.
Empathy, acceptance and a genuine relationship sit at the heart of the approach. I bring my training and knowledge to the work, but you remain the expert on your own life.
Therapy isn’t a repair shop where something broken gets fixed. It is closer to tending a garden: growth has its seasons, and quieter, dormant periods are part of it too.
Complex health histories and presentations
Alongside my MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice from Liverpool John Moores University, I hold an MA in Health Research from Lancaster University. That background helps me work with people whose health history or presentation is complex, layered or hard to explain.
You won’t need to simplify your story to fit a framework. We can take the time to understand how the different parts of your life connect.
Trauma-informed throughout
Safety, choice, collaboration and trust shape every session. We work at a pace that feels manageable, and you can pause, slow down or change direction at any time.
You decide what we talk about. My role is to offer a steady, non-judgemental space where that is possible.
An inclusive, non-oppressive practice
I work in ways that respect who you are and recognise the impact that discrimination and marginalisation can have on people’s lives. Whatever your identity, sexuality, relationships, culture or background, you can bring all of yourself here.
